We break out the old slab or walk, haul it away, and size the new patio or walkway to the way you actually live — not the old footprint. The build itself follows a strict order: demo and haul away the old concrete or failed pavers, excavate, then compact the base in lifts. That base work is the slow part of the job, and it's what keeps the surface flat through Long Island winters — when a patio goes wavy, the problem is almost always underneath the pavers, not in them. Then the pavers go down, edges get locked in, and we clean up behind ourselves.
Steps, stoops, and transitions between materials are handled by the same crew, since we pour concrete and do masonry ourselves rather than subbing it out. We're based in Westbury, a short drive away, working Monday through Friday 8–5 and Saturday 9–5.
