Levittown has a landscaping situation unlike anywhere else on Long Island. The homes went up together after the war as Cape Cods and ranches on consistent lots, and the trees planted in those first years went in around the same time too. Seventy-odd years later, a whole neighborhood's worth of trees hit full maturity at once.
That is a lot of what we get called for here: large trees that have outgrown a small lot, roots lifting a walkway, or limbs sitting over a roof. We also handle the everyday work — weekly lawn maintenance, spring and fall cleanups, sod, planting, patios, and concrete.
Because the original lots are fairly uniform and not large, the layout matters more than the budget. A well-placed paver patio, a proper walkway, and planting beds scaled to the house will make a Levittown property feel considerably bigger than a scattering of expensive add-ons will.
Many of these homes have also been expanded over the decades. When an addition goes in, the surrounding grade and lawn usually need to be corrected so water runs away from the house instead of toward it. We regrade and re-sod to fix exactly that.
